Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney Plus, and the others are great, but they’re a little disconnected from athletism. Sports on Hulu are prevalent, on the other hand. This is partly because of its tight live TV integration, but they also have some sporty movies and shows you can enjoy. In this feature, we’re rounding up our favorite ways to enjoy sports using Hulu. Get ready!

Sports on Hulu + Live TV

Hulu offers Live TV streaming, deeming a cable subscription unnecessary. This means you can watch sports on Hulu without sacrifices, just as you would using a traditional television service. The Hulu + Live TV bundle costs $64.99 a month. You can also get Live TV alone for $63.99 (but that extra dollar is worth all the Hulu On Demand content!).

Live TV comes with plenty of channels. These include ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPN News, ESPN U, College Extra, Golf, MSNBC, Fox, Telemundo, and many others. Your selection of channels will vary, depending on where you live, but there’s no doubt you’ll have no shortage of sports on Hulu.

You won’t need to miss DVR capabilities either. 50 hours are included with the plan. You can also pay extra for 200 hours. There’s no limit on simultaneous recordings, you can fast-forward or rewind, and it’s possible to stream your recordings from any compatible device. No way are you missing that goal again!

It’s also worth mentioning that Hulu offers the Sports add-on for $9.99 a month. This comes with extra channels like NFL Red Zone, TVG, Sportsman Channel, MAVTV, and the Outdoor Channel.

The best sports movies on Hulu

Not digging the whole live TV thing? If you’re feeling like a sports-themed movie, there are plenty of options. Here are our favorites.

1. I, Tonya

i Tonya movie

We all have a past, but most of us can’t argue that it might cost us a world championship. Such is the case for figure skater Tonya Harding, who is fighting her way through the US Figure Skating Championships and doing amazingly. That is until her ex-husband shows up and accusations of a crime come to haunt her future in the sport.

2. Space Jam

Space Jam on Hulu

There’s a new Space Jam movie, but nothing beats a classic. The original Space Jam features Michael Jordan, and it’s definitely one of the best films about sports on Hulu.

The Looney Toons find themselves in trouble as aliens come to take them against their will. The invaders are short and have stubby feet, so Bugs Bunny and company challenge them to a basketball match in an attempt to earn their freedom. However, these little guys have tricks up their sleeves and decide to take famous basketball players’ abilities. This is when the TuneSquad decides to get some help from all-time basketball star Michael Jordan.

3. The Miracle Season

The Miracle Season

Remember high school? Emotions were strong, and sports were fierce. The Miracle Season tells the story of state champion West High volleyball team during a harsh time. The girls lose their captain before the season begins, which takes them into a whirlwind of mourning, defeat, and low spirits.

The team must come together to bring each other back up from the ground. It’s an emotive story that will bring tears to your eyes, as well as inspiration to your soul. It’s definitely one of the best films about sports on Hulu.

4. Blue Chips

Blue Chips

A successful college basketball coach is about to start losing for the first time, something he simply can’t accept. He recruits some great players in a desperate attempt to turn things around, but they all want something in return. Their financial requests are unreasonable, but the coach gives into them. Defeat is not an option. Of course, these decisions come with repercussions.

5. The Hustler

The Hustler

This one is a classic, and it’s also one of the best films about sports on Hulu. Eddie Felson is an amazing up-and-coming pool player, but his attitude could use some polishing. In a craze, he challenges a pool legend to a high-stakes match and loses. He is left with no money or manager, and now he must regain his confidence and position, starting from zero. Desperate, he considers some bad options that could cost him more than his career.

The best sports shows on Hulu

Those looking for more action will also enjoy the best sports on Hulu when it comes to shows. These include actual sporting events and fictional TV series, so there’s a little bit of everything for every watcher.

1. WWE content

WWE sports on Hulu

There is no shortage of WWE content for those who want to watch sports on Hulu! The streaming service seems to love wrestling, as they offer a plethora of WWE content. This includes Raw, Main Event, SmackDown, NXT, 205 Live, and more.

2. Pitch

Baseball is a great sport, but it seems to be a male-dominant sport. The Pitch TV series is here to turn things around. The show follows the story of Ginny Baker as she becomes the first woman to play Major League Baseball with the San Diego Padres. She is known for her great screwball pitch, but no throw will help her through the struggles she is to face. This is a great show to enjoy some sports on Hulu, and it comes with a great story.

3. Dark Side of the Ring

Dark Side of the Ring

Wrestlers sure know how to put up a show, but we know these characters and drama on the ring are mostly entertainment. Stars have regular lives, and sometimes things can get a little ugly while balancing fantasy and reality. Dark Side of the Ring uncovers some of the things that really happen backstage.

4. Young Rock

Young Rock Sports on Hulu

We promise this is the last wrestling-related recommendation we give you! It’s just that Hulu has a lot of wrestling content. Young Rock is a bit different, though. In this TV series, Dwayne Johnson runs for president and finds every opportunity to tell long stories about his uprising. Apparently, this is a way to let the people know they can relate to him, as he’s been through the struggles common Americans have to face. The whole presidency thing is fantasy, of course, but all the stories are supposed to be based on real-life events. It’s a fun and witty show, but it will give you an idea of The Rock’s life story.

5. American Ninja Warrior

American Ninja Warrior Sports on Hulu

We’re not sure if this can be considered sports on Hulu, but it’s definitely an athletism-related show. In this TV series, athletes, martial artists, and other physically competent participants perform daunting stunts through obstacle courses. It’s amusing to watch!
