If you have little babies, you are likely familiar with sound monitors that allow you to know if your child is safe while you are away from his or her crib. Now a company called Wavhello has come up with an idea that turns an ordinary Bluetooth speaker into SoundBub, one that’s made just for babies.

The speaker comes in three super-cute designs; Bella the bunny, Ollie the owl and Benji the bear. SoundBub also connects to Wavhello’s VoiceShare app for Android and iOS. It allows parents to record messages, lullabies, bedtime stories and more and have them played to the speaker, and thus to their baby. Parents can also share songlists that can be played via SoundBub. In addition, physically clicking on the speaker grill will generate white noise design to put babies to sleep.

Since babies can be rather abusive with certain objects, SoundBub has been designed to take the toddler torture test with “chew safe” materials along with a soft fabric cover. It also comes with a handle that can also serve as a stand and can be folded away when not in use. Parents can set up the speaker so sounds can be played in 30, 60 or 90 minute increments, or there’s the option for continuous play.

While SoundBub is not designed as a replacement for the traditional baby monitor, it still offers parents a new way to let their child know they are around, even when they are not physically in the room. All three models are available for $59.99 each.
