Sony Xperia C4

Sony has a pretty good reputation in the Android world when it comes to software updates. Most of the time the company issues updates in a timely manner, and they usually do a pretty good job at being transparent with their users when it comes to delays. This time, though, Sony has been dragging its feet when it comes to updating one of its budget handsets.

If you happen to own an Xperia C4 or C4 Dual and have been waiting patiently to get your Marshmallow update, the time has finally come! According to the folks at Xperia Blog, Sony has started rolling out Android 6.0 Marshmallow to the Xperia C4 (E5303, E5306) and C4 Dual (E5333, E5343). The C4’s update comes with firmware number 27.3.A.0.122 and the C4 Dual will sport firmware number 27.3.B.0.122. At this time it’s unclear if the rollout is limited to select markets or available worldwide, but we do know it’s making its way to some devices.
