Sony Xperia 5 pre-orders now open in US and Europe

Sony’s Xperia 5 was recently unveiled at IFA 2019. Sure, Sony skipped a few digits after the Xperia 1 and went straight to 5, but the phone isn’t all that different from its predecessor.
With a 6.1-inch display, it’s smaller than the Xperia 1 and sticks to most of the same specs. Nevertheless, it is Sony’s latest Snapdragon 855-toting flagship and is now up for pre-order in U.S. and Europe.
Xperia 5 pre-orders in the U.S. are now available through B&H and Focus, according to GSMArena, starting at $799. Those pre-ordering the Xperia 5 in the U.S. have a long wait ahead of them. The device will only start shipping on November 5, almost two months from now.
Meanwhile, Xperia 5 pre-orders in Europe are currently available in France, Germany, and the Netherlands. The device will start shipping on October 2 in all three regions.

The Sony store in France lists the Xperia 5 pre-order at 799 euros (~$882). The phone is definitely more expensive in Europe, but Sony is throwing is a free pair of WF-1000XM3 wireless noise-canceling headphones worth 250 euros (~$276) for the first 125 customers.
The same pre-order deal is available through the Sony store in Germany, but at a price of 849 euros (~$937). Meanwhile, Xperia 5 pre-orders in the Netherlands start at 799 euros (~$882), but without the bundled WF-1000XM3 headphones.
The Xperia 5 is not available in any other European region as of now.
