Grab a $70 discount on the Sony LinkBuds Clip open-ear earbuds

Amazon just dropped the Sony LinkBuds Clip to $158, down from the $228 recommended retail price. That saves you $70, which is 31% off RRP, and it also makes this the best deal we have seen on them this year.

The LinkBuds Clip are built for people who want to keep their ears open to the world around them while listening to music, podcasts, or calls. Instead of sealing off your ear canal, these true wireless earbuds use an open-ear, clip-style design with a lightweight ear-cuff fit. That setup is made for long wear, whether you are commuting, walking, working out, or just moving through your day.

Battery life is rated at about 8 hours per charge from the earbuds, plus another 14 hours from the charging case, for a total of around 22 hours. You also get IPX4-class splash resistance, so they are suited to everyday use when you are out and about.

There is also support for the Sony Sound Connect app, which adds EQ controls, Find Your Own Equalizer, DSEE upscaling, and 360 Reality Audio support. Those extras give you more ways to tune the sound to your taste.

Open-ear earbuds are still a pretty specific category, and Sony is aiming at the premium end here. At $158, this deal makes the LinkBuds Clip a lot easier to recommend than at full price. If you have been waiting for a lower price on a pair that keeps you aware of your surroundings, now looks like a good time to grab them.
