The Samsung Gear 360 is a fairly anticipated little ball of tech. Although we were originally under the impression that that the Gear 360 would get a US and Korean release in April, this release date turned out to only be for a few select regions. We now know that the first retail Gear 360 devices will be available in the states tomorrow with a price tag of $349.99.

However, before you get too stoked, you should know that this is an extremely limited release. The device will only be for sale at Vidcon at Anaheim, California. Samsung is still keeping mum about a widespread release date, so if you absolutely have have one of these babies and aren’t anywhere near southern California, then your best bet – as SamMobile recommends – will be to see if you can coax a friend in the region to swing by and snag you one.

If there was any doubt that 2016 would be the year that virtual reality goes mainstream, a quick glance around the industry landscape brushes it away. An exciting problem is arising with this increase of immersive media in that nobody is really sure how to make the most of it just yet. A design language hasn’t been established yet, so getting affordable 360 tech into the hands of the masses is essential so that creators can get busy being creative.
