TL;DR
  • More details of the Galaxy Z Fold 3, including key specs and features, have now leaked.
  • The comprehensive tip reveals the foldable’s size, weight, internals, and more.
  • Samsung will announce the device, along with several other products, at its August 11 event.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 has been subject to a stream of neverending leaks for quite some time. Now, the latest tip may have just revealed all there is to know about the phone. New information coming from WinFuture lays bare the phone’s key specifications, features, and more.

Let’s start with the Galaxy Z Fold 3’s build. The 158.2 mm long device measures just 6.4 mm thick and 128.1 mm wide when open. When closed, it thickens to 14.4 mm but nearly halves in width at 67.1 mm. Overall, this makes it slightly smaller than the Galaxy Z Fold 2. The leak also suggests the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will be slightly lighter than its predecessor at 271 grams. We imagine the gains seen here will go largely unnoticed by users. As for durability, the phone may withstand up to 200,000 folds without issue.

This body houses two displays. The cover screen features a 6.2-inch 120Hz display with 2,260 x 832 resolution. The folding screen comes in at 7.6-inches with 2,208 x 1,768 resolution. The cover display is also slathered in Gorilla Glass Victus.

As for core specs, the phone will reportedly use the Snapdragon 888 SoC, come with 12GB of RAM and a choice of either 256GB or 512GB of internal storage. There’s no microSD card slot.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3: Cameras

What about those shooters? WinFuture seemingly confirms the 4MP under-display camera with an f/1.8 aperture and pretty large 2.0 μm pixels. A 10MP cover selfie camera also features. Around the rear, three 12MP snappers are present. One is mated to a 123-degree ultra-wide, while another takes care of telephoto duties. The primary camera also features OIS, with 1.4 μm pixels.

Finally, other key specs may include a 4,400mAh battery, stereo speakers supporting Dolby Atmos, S Pen support, IPX8 water resistance, and wireless charging support. The phone will apparently launch with Android 11 running One UI 3.1.

WinFuture suggests the phone will land in three colorways: Phantom Green, Phantom Black, and Phantom Silver.

It’s the most comprehensive specs dump of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 thus far. If the German publication’s track record is anything to go by, we can probably expect the foldable to sport many if not all these specs. Nevertheless, Samsung has yet to confirm any info relating to its foldable phones. You’ll have to wait until August 11 for the official top-to-tail reveal.
