TL;DR
  • The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 may sport a 3,595mAh battery capacity.
  • The new model is expected to have a more power-efficient processor than its predecessor.
  • The Galaxy Z Flip 3 only had a 3,300mAh capacity.

Following rumors the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 would sport a larger battery, new details have emerged about exactly how much bigger it will likely be.

The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is one of the most popular flip phones on the market but was widely panned for having too small a battery, coming in at a mere 3,300mAh. One rumor suggested the new model could receive a modest bump to 3,400mAh, while another rumor suggested it would be a more substantial 3,700mAh battery. According to MyFixGuide, it appears the latter is more likely to happen.

MyFixGuide cites a 3C Certification that lists the Galaxy Z Flip 4 as having the same dual-battery configuration as its predecessor. One battery is listed as 2,555mAh, while the second is listed as 1,040mAh. Together, that brings the total capacity to 3,595mAh, well within the 3,700 mAh capacity earlier rumors had suggested.

In addition to the increased battery life, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 is expected to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, a more power-efficient processor than the Snapdragon 888 powering the Galaxy Z Flip 3. Together, the two upgrades could result in substantial battery improvements for the new model.
