  • This update is reportedly available in Germany and will be available in more EU markets soon.

Samsung‘s Galaxy Note 9 launched back in 2018, going up against the likes of the LG V40 and the HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro. The phone isn’t receiving OS updates anymore, but that hasn’t stopped Samsung from issuing security patches for the device.

Now, SamMobile has reported that the Galaxy Note 9 is now receiving the May 2022 security patch. This update reportedly fixes over a dozen security flaws.

The update, which carries firmware version N960FXXS9FVE1, has reportedly been pushed out in Germany and is coming to more European countries in the next few days.

Samsung’s phone isn’t receiving Android version updates anymore, having received Android 10 back in 2020. But we’re still glad to see a regular stream of security patches coming to the device, with this latest update being the fifth patch for the Galaxy Note 9 in the last six months.
