The Redmi Note 10 series launched last week, marking the latest phones in the mega-popular budget lineup. From the Redmi Note 10 5G to the Redmi Note 10 Pro, it looks like the Chinese brand has a device for every need.

What do Android Authority readers think of the new phones though? We asked readers whether the series get a thumbs-up or thumbs-down, and here’s how you voted.

Redmi Note 10 series: Hot or not?

Results

We posted the poll on March 4, and almost 1,100 votes were cast as of writing. A clear majority of you (83%) said the Redmi Note 10 series was hot, and it’s easy to understand why.

All the 4G-enabled phones in the series offer capable chipsets, 5,000mAh batteries or thereabouts, 33W charging, OLED screens, and IP53 splash resistance. The Redmi Note 10 Pro (Redmi Note 10 Pro Max in India) is the star of the show though. You’re getting some unprecedented features for $279, namely a 120Hz OLED screen and a 108MP main camera.

Just over 16% of respondents gave the new series a thumbs-down though, but we didn’t see any explanations from readers who voted this way. The realme 8 series is set to launch later this month, so presumably some of these readers think Xiaomi’s arch-rival in India can do a better job.

Nevertheless, it’s clear plenty of people think the Redmi Note 10 series is a winner for the company. So hopefully we see more manufacturers offering similarly impressive budget phones in 2021.
