Redmi K50 Pro leaks: What a POCO F4 Pro or Xiaomi 12i could look like?

Xiaomi has traditionally brought Redmi K series phones to global markets with a new name. So is this the POCO F4 Pro?

TL;DR
  • Redmi K50 Pro renders may have just leaked online.
  • The images show a phone with a flat display and sizeable camera bump.

The Redmi K series has hosted some of the best smartphones around, often landing outside China with a new name. We’ve already seen the Redmi K50 Gaming launch in China, but a reliable leaker has just shown off apparent Redmi K50 Pro renders.

Steve ‘OnLeaks‘ Hemmerstoffer and Zoutons have posted renders and a 360-degree video purportedly showing off the Redmi K50 Pro. The images and video show a phone with a two-step rear camera bump that brings to mind the Xiaomi Civi and vivo X60 Pro.

A closer look reveals that the black camera bump juts out quite a bit. The phone is said to measure in at 163.2 x 76.2 x 8.7mm, but comes to 11.4mm thick when you include the bump.

Otherwise, the K50 Pro has a center-mounted punch-hole cutout and a flat screen. The phone is pretty spartan in terms of I/O, featuring a power button and volume rocker on the right, and a USB-C port at the bottom.

There’s no official word on specs just yet, but Redmi has already released the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1-toting K50 Gaming and is said to be readying a K50 series phone with a Dimensity 9000 chipset as well. So we’re guessing this new phone will use either one of these flagship SoCs.

The Redmi K series has previously come to global markets with different names, such as the Mi 9T series (Redmi K20 range), POCO F2 Pro (Redmi K30 Pro), and Xiaomi Mi 11i (Redmi K40 Pro Plus). It, therefore, stands to reason that the Redmi K50 Pro could launch outside China with a new name.

What do you think of the leaked Redmi K50 Pro design?
