Red Hydrogen One with holographic display
TL;DR
  • A leaked infographic gives us the best look we have had of the upcoming Red Hydrogen One specs.
  • Based on the infographic, the phone features dual front and rear-facing cameras, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and more.
  • Red delayed the aluminum and titanium versions of the Hydrogen One.

With pre-orders of the Red Hydrogen One still not at people’s doorsteps, there is still a good deal that we do not know about the smartphone. Fortunately, a leaked infographic reported by Android Central looks to give us a definitive look at the total package.

According to the infographic, the Hydrogen One features a 5.7-inch display with a 2,560 x 1,440 resolution that supports playback of regular and H4V holographic content, dual front-facing stereo speakers, a headphone jack up top, and a USB Type-C port at the bottom. The phone’s power button doubles as the fingerprint sensor and is thankfully opposite the volume buttons. Next to the top speaker are the dual 8.3MP cameras, with no notch needed to point out their existence.

Around back is where the fun begins. Near the top are the dual 12.3MP cameras that can capture holographic stills and video. Near the bottom is the pogo connector that lets you attach accessories to the phone. The phone itself is constructed in either aluminum or titanium, though you really notice the material around back. You can get the Hydrogen One in an assortment of colors, so long as it is black, and the sides feature scalloped grips to make it easier to hold onto the phone.

Red Hydrogen One: What we know so far (Update: It's launched)
News

The infographic also calls out the gargantuan 4,500mAh battery, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage, and an LED notification indicator that has strangely become harder to find over the years. We also know the Hydrogen One features the Snapdragon 835 processor and will launch through AT&T, Verizon, and Mexico’s Telcel on November 2.

At this point, the only thing we do not know about the Hydrogen One is when it will finally launch. Red delayed shipments of the titanium version and promised buyers of that version a free aluminum version while they wait. However, Red also delayed the aluminum version and has not yet given an update on when it will ship.
