Realme CEO casually shows off his unannounced Realme smartwatch in new video
Although Realme has already made a huge name for itself in a very short amount of time, the company is not content with just making great smartphones. According to the company’s CEO Madhav Sheth, there is a Realme smartwatch on the way, too, among other products (via Fone Arena).
In a YouTube video interview as part of the company’s “Ask Madhav” series, Sheth shows the watch on his wrist and says it is the Realme smartwatch. As has become the norm, the watch looks a lot like an Apple Watch.
Realme already has a fitness tracker called the Realme Band, which it just launched earlier this month. A Realme smartwatch seems like a natural extension of that product.
However, Sheth was not very forthcoming on the details surrounding this new product. All Sheth said about the watch was: “It’s on my wrist, and it will be on yours soon.” The video then jumps to the next question.
Later in the video, Sheth also says there will soon be Realme-branded Bluetooth speakers as well as a television. However, he didn’t give many details about those products, either.
Still, it is very refreshing to see a company be so open about its products. Samsung, Google, and OnePlus tend to try very hard to keep all their products under wraps until they are officially launched. But here’s the CEO of Realme just casually being like, “Yeah, we have a smartwatch, here it is, on my wrist.” It’s definitely a welcome change.
Stay tuned as there will likely be more details soon on the upcoming Realme smartwatch.
