TL;DR
  • The Razer Hammerhead True Wireless Pro noise-cancelling earphones retail for $199.
  • The earbuds are THX Certified and feature an IPX4 water-resistance rating.
  • Gamers can enjoy low-latency mode for lag-free gameplay.

Razer further diversifies its portfolio beyond the gaming market with the Razer Hammerhead True Wireless Pro earbuds. At a glance, these may seem like another pair of Apple lookalikes, but Razer’s stemmed buds differentiate themselves from the crowd with premium features like active noise-cancelling (ANC) and THX certification.

Razer’s latest truly wireless earbuds use hybrid active noise-cancelling technology to combat external and internal noise. Razer understands how a proper fit dramatically improves noise-cancelling performance, and the company teamed up with Comply to provide a pair of memory foam ear tips with the Hammerhead True Wireless Pro. These ear tips work well with the USB-C charging case, so users can enjoy comfortable listening at a moment’s notice.

Razer also partnered with THX to ensure that its earbuds meet THX Certification standards, something the company also did for its Opus ANC headphones. To meet these standards, the Hammerhead True Wireless Pro must not distort its bass response at high volumes, something that plagues many consumer headsets. Listeners may enjoy four hours of playtime with the earbuds when ANC is activated and up to 20 hours of combined playtime from the carrying case.

Other premium features include low-latency wireless playback. The earphones use Bluetooth 5.1 firmware and reduce latency to just 60ms during gameplay, so there’s a virtually lag-free mobile gaming experience. They also boast a touch capacitive panel on either earbud, so listeners may control their music and access their preferred smart assistants. They’re durable, too, and merit an IPX4 water-resistant rating.

The Razer Hammerhead True Wireless Pro are available today and retail for $199.99.
