TL;DR
  • OnePlus has announced the Nord N300 for the US.
  • The phone has a Dimensity 810 SoC and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W charging.
  • Expect to pay $228 when the phone goes on sale next month.

OnePlus has been pushing budget Nord devices in the US for a while now, with the Nord N100 and N200 being among its cheapest offerings. Now, the company has decided to launch the Nord N300 in the market.

The latest OnePlus budget phone brings some pretty modest specs, such as a MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of expandable storage. The phone is also equipped with a 6.56-inch 90Hz LCD panel and a 5,000mAh battery.

OnePlus is touting 33W wired charging speeds as well, and the company is including a 33W charger in the box. That makes for a welcome change from the likes of Samsung and its charger-less budget phones. Another pleasant addition here is a 3.5mm port, so you don’t need to break out a dongle if you want to use your aux cable or wired earphones.

OnePlus Nord N300: Hot or not?

Those expecting a well-rounded camera experience might be disappointed though, as you’ve merely got a dual rear camera system (48MP main, 2MP depth). It’s also worth noting that the device doesn’t have an alert slider, in line with recent affordable OnePlus handsets.

All in all, the Nord N300 looks like a rebranded version of the OPPO A77. This wouldn’t be a surprise as we’ve seen a few previous OPPO devices seemingly rebranded to Nord devices over the past couple of years (e.g. the Nord N20).

In any event, the OnePlus Nord N300 will retail for $228 when it goes on sale on November 3. The device will be available via T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile.
