OnePlus 3T device trees and kernel sources released ahead of phone launch
OnePlus is not wasting any time offering its hardcore fans some deep access to its latest smartphone, the OnePlus 3T. The company has gone ahead and released both the device trees and the kernel sources for its phone, several days before it officially goes on sale on Nov. 22.
While the company released both the device trees and kernel sources for the older OnePlus 3 on its launch day (which has since been discontinued), it made the decision to go ahead and get that code ready for fans well ahead of the OnePlus 3T launch. They are now available to download at the OnePlus GitHub page, and we would expect that modders are already going through the code to see what secrets they can find and what changes they can make before the phone drops next week.
Just a reminder: The OnePlus 3T has a Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 821 processor inside, clocked at 2.35GHz, along with 6GB of RAM, storage options of either 64GB or 128GB, a 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080 display, 16MP cameras for both the front and rear, and a 3,400mAh battery. The Gunmetal color version will launch first, with pricing at USD $439 for the 64GB model and USD $479 for the 128GB version. A Soft Gold edition of the phone will go on sale in the near future.
