OnePlus 12 pictured in the real world for the first time
- The OnePlus 12 has been pictured in the wild for the very first time.
- The phone in the leaked images matches previously outed renders of the OnePlus 12.
- OnePlus has confirmed the new flagship will feature the brightest smartphone screen in the world.
Alleged real-world images of the OnePlus 12 have leaked. The pictures have been shared by tipster Abhishek Yadav and Ice Universe on X (formerly Twitter), with tipster Max Jambor confirming the phone is indeed the OnePlus 12.
The images seem to have originated from an official OnePlus-OPPO-BOE event held earlier today. OnePlus also posted information from the event on its Weibo channel, confirming that the OnePlus 12 will have “the most advanced 2K display” made by Chinese display manufacturer BOE. Previous leaks have suggested that the flagship will come equipped with a 6.82-inch 120Hz LTPO display, and OnePlus has now confirmed part of this information.
The OnePlus 12 is also said to feature a 3,168 x 1,440 display resolution. The company has just revealed that it will be the “brightest screen in the world” with “far more than” 2,600 nits of peak brightness. That’s a major leap compared to the OnePlus 11, which features 1,300 nits of peak brightness.

The leaked OnePlus 12 pictures also show the phone’s center-placed punch hole selfie shooter, a clear view of the Alert Slider on the left of the screen, and the power and volume keys on the right side. The back of the phone is visible on one of the two leaked OnePlus 12 images. However, the rear camera housing is hidden by some sort of cover.
OnePlus 12 will use BOE’s top 2K screen. The parameters of this screen are by far the most powerful screen of smart phones, which can kill Samsung’s best screen.
Compared with S23 Ultra, Samsung lost miserably.

We’ve already seen renders of the OnePlus 12 leak courtesy of reliable leaker Steve ‘OnLeaks’ Hemmerstoffer, and these new images seem to align with what we saw earlier. The main camera array is also visible in the leaked renders, with a design similar to that of the OnePlus 11, albeit for a periscope camera at the bottom of the island.
