The OnePlus 11 could have a surprisingly premium body

By now, we have a pretty good idea of what to expect from the OnePlus 11 as far as hardware goes thanks to numerous leaks. But something that has eluded us and remained a mystery is the actual design of the phone. Thanks to a new leak, we may finally know the details about the device’s body.

Well-known leaker, Digital Chat Station, went on Weibo to reveal some new details about OnePlus’ next flagship. One of the more interesting revelations from the leak mentioned that the body of the OnePlus 11 could be made out of ceramic and have a metal frame. The post failed to elaborate on what kind of metal the frame would use.

While it’s not like there haven’t been phones with ceramic bodies before, the use of the material is still notable for a few different reasons. One is the fact that ceramic tends to be a more expensive material than the glass panels used for a lot of phones. Ceramic is also better at dissipating heat than glass, which should help durability and performance. Additionally, this premium material would help set the OnePlus 11 apart from its glass-covered competitors.

The next part of the leak claimed that the OnePlus 11 could have a curved screen with a punch hole selfie camera located in the upper left corner. If true, this would match what was on the OnePlus 10 Pro.

Although previous leaks had already hinted that the OnePlus 11 could have up to 16GB of RAM, this new leak suggests that the 16GB of RAM could be joined by universal flash storage (UFS) 4.0. This would enable blazing-fast performance when coupled with the expected Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
