TL;DR
  • It looks like there could be a Nothing Phone 1 black version.
  • So far, Nothing has only confirmed a white model.
  • The alleged black version appears to have the same design as the white one.

Nothing has been slowly confirming various details about its first smartphone, the Nothing Phone 1. Earlier today, we finally learned that it will come with the Snapdragon 778G Plus chipset, for example.

However, some details are still leaking. Thanks to WinFuture, we now have a leak to suggest there could be a Nothing Phone 1 black version. So far, Nothing has only confirmed a white version of the phone, so this is unsubstantiated info. It makes sense that there would be a black model, though.

Nothing Phone 1 in black

Clearly, the black version of the Phone 1 looks a lot like the white version. It simply swaps out the white innards visible under the back glass for black variants.

The “glyph” design on the back is exactly the same. It lights up in white just like the back of the confirmed model.

It is unclear if the Nothing Phone 1 in black would land at the same time as the white model. That would make a lot of sense, but Nothing did launch the white version of its Nothing Ear 1 before it launched the black version. With this leak, you can make a judgment call before purchasing: if there’s no black model available and you’d rather have that, then it would be worthwhile to wait. This leak heavily suggests black is on the way.

Nothing will officially announce everything about the Phone 1 on July 12.
