Update (6/23): Never Alone: Ki Edition is available now in the Google Play Store!

It will run you $4.99, but you won’t need to deal with any ads or in-app purchases. Seriously, you’ll want to check this one out. If you’re interested, head to the Google Play Store for the download.

Original post (5/19): Never Alone, the beautiful platformer that first launched on PC in 2014, is finally making its way to Android smartphones and tablets.

The official name for the mobile version is called Never Alone: Ki Edition, and is being brought to mobile devices thanks to a partnership between E-Line Media and Tic Toc Games. For those who have grown to know and love the full PC version, there’s no need to worry — Ki Edition is simply going to be a mobile adaptation of the game with touch-friendly controls and menus.

In case you’re unfamiliar, Never Alone stars a girl named Nuna and her Arctic fox. You’ll need to traipse through an intense blizzard while solving puzzles by switching between the two main characters. Both Nuna and Fox have their own unique skills; Fox is quick, and Nuna can pick up things and open new areas.

From the announcement post:

As always, players will be able to switch between Nuna and Fox, relying on the unique skills of each character. The Ki Edition also includes all of the original game’s unlockable Cultural Insight videos featuring members of the Alaska Native community sharing stories and wisdom about their culture, values and the amazing Arctic world encountered by players in over 30 minutes of interviews.

The game is slated to launch on Android and iOS on June 23rd, 2016. If you’d like to get your hands on it earlier than that, you’ll be able to participate in the Google Play Early Access program. We’ll be sure to let you know when we hear more details.
