TL;DR
  • The Moto Folio is a protective case that attaches to a compatible device via magnetic connectors.
  • It has a pocket for a credit card inside, and a magnetic closure on the front.
  • It’s the cheapest Moto Mod to date with a $11.24 price tag.

Motorola has announced the Moto Folio, its cheapest Moto Mod to date. It’s basically a protective case that covers the back and front of a compatible smartphone, attaching to the back a device with the help of magnetic connectors, like the rest of the Moto Mods available.

The Moto Folio sports an inner pocket for storing a credit card, and a secure magnetic closure up front that keeps the case from popping open. It has a minimalistic design, comes in three colors Super Black, Fine Gold, and Grape Juice — and works with the company’s entire Moto Z lineup of smartphones.

The case will add 55 g of weight to your device and increase its overall thickness by 3 mm. Due to its slim design, it’s not the best protective case you can get but will still reduce the possibility of damaging your phone if it falls on a hard surface.

The Moto Folio is already available for purchase. You can get it from the company’s website for $11.24, which is a good deal if you ask me. Those of you interested can find it at the Motorola store via the button below.

The Moto Folio isn’t the only Moto Mod that made its debut recently. Two of them were also announced last week at CES, which you can check out here.
