Motorola starts rolling out stable Android 17 for more devices in the US
Oct 8, 2026 — 2:57 AM ET

- Motorola is rolling out the Android 17 update to more of its devices in the US.
- The Motorola Razr 2026, Edge 60 Fusion, and Edge 60 Pro have started receiving the update.
- Android 17 brings a new Quick Settings panel, stackable widgets, and more features to Motorola phones.
Motorola’s Android 17 rollout has been very slow and often confusing. Though the company started its Android 17 beta in February, the actual stable rollout is still progressing at a leisurely pace. After reaching the flagship Motorola Signature and the Edge 70, the update is finally landing on more Motorola devices in the US.
9to5Google reported that the stable Android 17 update has started showing up on the Razr Ultra 2026. The update carries the version number A171WLH.38-19-5 and comes in at a hefty 4.17 GB download size. With the Razr Ultra 2026 now getting the update in the US, it shouldn’t be too long before it lands on other Motorola phones in the region as well.
The Razr Ultra isn’t the only phone receiving the update. According to posts on Reddit, the company has started rolling out the stable Android 17 update for the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion and Edge 60 Pro in India.
There’s still no word on when older Motorola devices with active update commitments will get Android 17. Devices such as the Motorola Razr 2024, Moto G75, Edge 60 Neo, and the Edge 50 series weren’t included on the official eligibility list. It’s unclear when Android 17 will be available for these (and many other) Motorola phones.
Motorola has already shared a detailed changelog of all the new features in Android 17. The update introduces a redesigned Quick Settings panel, cross-platform Quick Share, stackable widgets, notification summaries, and a lot more.
You can check whether your phone will receive the Android 17 update on the Motorola website. For eligible devices, you can check for software updates by going to Settings > System updates > Check for updates.
