Moto G (2015) price tag and spec sheet spotted in India
Just yesterday, leaked details from a UScellular inventory database suggested that the upcoming Moto G 2015 will cost $179.99. A similar leak has now appeared in India, pointing to a roughly similar launch day price in the country.
A listing spotted at popular e-commerce retailer FlipKart suggests that the new Moto G will cost Rs. 11,999 (around $185), which is virtually identical to the US price spotted the other day. This price is also around $15 cheaper than the Moto G 2014’s launch cost of Rs. 12,999 ($200).
The FlipKart specification sheet, which has since been taken down, also gives us a detailed breakdown of the smartphone’s internal hardware. There is mention of a 5-inch 1280×720 display, 1.4GHz Snapdragon 410 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory with 32GB microSD card support, a 13 megapixel rear camera, 5 megapixel front facing camera and a 2,470mAh battery. However, there is no mention of the rumored IPX7 rating.
These details pretty much match up with various rumors this month, and suggest pretty good hardware for the price, as is typical of Motorola these days. The page’s image also looks like the leaked hands-on images that appeared last week, so we probably have a pretty good idea of what to expect from the handset now.
The Moto G (2015) is scheduled to launch at events taking place in London and New York tomorrow, July 28th, alongside a new Moto X model.
