Mophie launches new battery and charge force cases for Galaxy Note 8
If you were unhappy that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 included a relatively average battery size of 3,300 mAh, then you should take a look at getting a battery case for the big 6.3-inch phone. Today, one of the biggest names in this industry, Mophie, announced its own Juice Pack battery case for the Note 8, along with a version of the company’s Charge Force case.
The Mophie Juice pack includes an integrated, rechargeable 2,950 mAh battery that will extend the total amount of talk time for the phone up to 36 hours. It’s compatible with Qi-based wireless charging bases as well. It’s also supposed to be pretty rugged, with raised corners for edge-to-edge screen protection and internal bumpers for some extra cushion to the edges and corners of the phone it case it falls. The price is a bit expensive at $99.95, but it might be worth it if you use your Note 8 a lot on the road.
The Mophie Charge Force case for the Note 8 does not include its own internal battery, but it does allow users to attach one of the company’s 3,000 mAh Charge Force Powerstation mini-batteries to the back of the case, via built-in magnets. This will allow Note 8 owners to increase their battery use up to 33 hours. You can detach the battery from the case when you don’t need that extra charging boost. Both the Mophie Charge Force case and the Charge Force Powerstation battery are priced at $49.95 each.
