Following up a series of similar American events, Google will be touring London with Google Home Minis... and donuts. What's not to love?

TL;DR
  • Google will launch pop-up shops in London starting this weekend that will feature the Google Home Mini (and donuts).
  • The company launched similar events in America in 2017, which enabled guests to receive free donuts or a free Home Mini.
  • There are four locations in London that will see the events — see below for dates and areas.

Have you ever noticed that a Google Home Mini is about the size of a donut? Google has, because it is going to launch some pop-up shops in London starting on March 22. Each pop-up store will feature two things: donuts and Google Home Minis.

There will be two varieties of pop-up shops: food trucks and food bikes. The food trucks will obviously be the larger events, happening in Westfield Stratford City the weekend of March 22, and in Angel Central Shopping Centre the weekend of March 29. The bike tour will occur the weekend of March 29 in two locations simultaneously: John Lewis, Oxford Street and John Lewis, Westfield London.

Aside from the fact that you’ll be able to score donuts and Google Home Minis, Google is rather mum on the whole event. However, the company did a similar set of events in America back in October which involved people asking Google Home Minis a question and then receiving either two donuts (sweet) or a free Google Home Mini (sweeter). There was also a “Sprinkle Booth” where attendees could dance around in confetti, which sounds like it involves a lot of clean up.

The Google Home Mini is the entry-level device in Google’s line of Home products, which act as a voice-controlled hub for your smart home. Using the Home Mini, you can perform Google searches, set reminders, get weather reports, and activate various smart devices like televisions, appliances, lights, thermostats, and even home security.

If you plan on attending one of these London events, check out Google’s website or the Facebook event for the tour which give you the specific locations of the destinations.
