LG confirms list of phones that will receive Android 12, Android 13
- LG Korea has announced which devices will receive Android 12 and 13.
- The company’s German arm has also revealed an Android 11 roadmap.
LG announced that it would be delivering three years of Android version updates for some phones as it winds down its mobile operations. Now, the company has revealed plenty more details, such as an Android 11 roadmap and which phones will receive Android 12 and Android 13.
LG Germany posted the Android 11 roadmap on its website, with updates extending to Q4 2021 for many phones. Of course, the likes of the V60 have already received the update. Check out the timeline in the table below.
Phone name | Rollout date | Status |
---|---|---|
Phone name LG Velvet 5G | Rollout date April 2021 | Status Completed |
Phone name LG G8X | Rollout date Q3 2021 | Status Testing |
Phone name LG Velvet 4G | Rollout date Q4 2021 | Status Testing |
Phone name LG G8S | Rollout date Q4 2021 | Status Testing |

It bears repeating once again that this is the timeline for Germany, so it’s entirely possible that we’ll see discrepancies in other markets (we’d expect the LG Stylo series to offer the update in the US, for example). Nevertheless, this should still give you a rough idea of when to expect Android 11 on your phone.
LG’s Korean website also revealed (h/t: KBench) that several more devices will get Android 11, albeit without expected rollout dates. These devices are the V50, V50S, Q31, Q51, Q52, Q61, Q70, Q92, and Q9 One.
The Korean website went a step further and revealed which devices will be receiving Android 12 and Android 13 too. You can view the devices in the table below.

LG has previously had a reputation for occasionally launching updates in its home market but not bringing them to other locales. So I wouldn’t hold my breath for the above list to be true for your region. The company also noted that the above list could change and was subject to Google’s policies.
