TL;DR
  • According to HUAWEI, the HUAWEI P20 Pro Europe sales are already higher than the P10 Plus sales by a factor of three.
  • The P20 Pro is now the best-selling phone in Western Europe in HUAWEI’s history, after only a month.

Our review of the HUAWEI P20 Pro makes one thing very clear: the P20 Pro is easily one of the best Android smartphones you can buy right now. It appears that sales are reflecting the reviews, as Huawei reports that in only a month the P20 Pro has outsold last year’s HUAWEI P10 Plus in Western Europe by a whopping 316 percent.

That makes the HUAWEI P20 Pro the best-selling device in Western Europe in HUAWEI’s history, and it did it in four weeks.

Reviews

According to HUAWEI, most of the P20 Pro sales in Europe came from Germany, France, and the United Kingdom. For a period, the HUAWEI P20 Pro was the most-searched-for smartphone on Google in Spain, Italy, and Germany.

For a smartphone to do this well so quickly really illuminates just how successful HUAWEI is worldwide. As it stands, HUAWEI is the world’s third-largest smartphone manufacturer, and it’s achieved that title without having a retail presence in the United States, something that top dogs Samsung and Apple have over the Chinese company.

One can only imagine how successful HUAWEI would be if it were able to sell its phones in the United States. Funny how that advancement keeps getting blocked.

The HUAWEI P20 Pro is the world’s first smartphone to feature a camera with three lenses. That notable feature helped the smartphone earn the highest reviews ever for both stills and video from photography review site DxOMark.

The phone ships with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box (skinned with HUAWEI’s EMUI 8.1), a 4,000mAh battery, 128GB of storage, and 6GB of RAM. Despite its lack of availability in American retail stores, you can still buy the phone via online portals like Amazon.com.
