HUAWEI Mate 8 teaser

HUAWEI has uploaded a new teaser and there’s little doubt about what the company has planned. The HUAWEI Mate 8 looks set for an official unveiling on November 26th, at an event which will presumably take place in China.

Rumors about the Mate 8 point to a large flagship that also aims to offer value for money. We are expecting to see a 6-inch FullHD panel and at least 3GB of RAM, with storage in the typical 32GB or 64GB options. I would assume that the Mate S’ Force Touch display technology will also make an appearance in HUAWEI’s upcoming smartphone. Newly leaked pictures, which were apparently snapped from a Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn) factory, also point to a metal frame for the handset, and a dual SIM and microSD card tray.

The HUAWEI Mate 8 is expected to be powered by the company’s own HiSilicon Kirin 950 SoC and we can even see little references to circuit design in the teaser. The chip is rumored to feature an octa-core big.LITTLE Cortex-A72 and A53 CPU design, paired up with a Mali-T880 GPU and other high end features, such has high resolution camera support and Cat 10 LTE. HUAWEI is preparing to unveil this processing package at a separate event on November 5th.
