Amber Alerts

When a child goes missing in your area, there’s a very good chance you’ll receive an Amber alert on your smartphone. These alerts are helpful as they spread essential information among the community and increase the chances of finding the missing person. Nevertheless, they can be disruptive at times, especially if you get one at three in the morning or the middle of a business meeting. While we advise you to keep these alerts turned on at all times, we’ll show you how you can turn off Amber alerts if you prefer.

The process is straightforward, but only if you know where to look. However, you can find the setting in a different place depending on your device and carrier, which can cause some confusion. In this post, we’ll take a closer look at how to do it on stock Android devices, as well as on phones made by Samsung, OnePlus, LG, and Motorola. Let’s dive in.

Unfortunately, there are so many different OEMs that we can’t highlight every manufacturer’s process.
