AirPods set up with your iPhone will automatically connect with your Apple Watch and play audio from whichever device you are using. To manually pair AirPods with your Apple Watch, set your buds into pairing mode then open Settings>Bluetooth>AirPods name.


How to connect AirPods to your Apple Watch

AirPods will automatically connect to your watch if you have a set already connected to your iPhone. If you want to pair new AirPods to your Apple Watch, doing so only takes a few moments.

  • Set your AirPods into pairing mode following the manufacturer’s direction. This requires you to open your AirPods case and press the button on the back.
  • On your Apple Watch, open the Settings app, then scroll down to and tap Bluetooth.
  • Your watch will search for nearby accessories. Once it finds your AirPods, tap them in the device list and wait for them to connect.

To unpair a Bluetooth accessory from your Apple Watch, tap Settings>Bluetooth, then tap the i icon next to your device’s name and tap Forget Device.
