TL;DR
  • HONOR has launched the HONOR Band 6 fitness tracker in India.
  • The device has a listed retail price of Rs 3,999 (~$55) on Flipkart.

HONOR is another notable player in the fitness tracking space, with its HONOR Band trackers being around for a few years now. The company launched the all-new HONOR Band 6 earlier this year in global markets, and the tracker has now launched in India too.

As spotted by FoneArena, the HONOR Band 6 is available via Flipkart for Rs 3,999 (~$55), although it’s unclear if this is a limited promotional price as we also see a Rs 5,999 (~$82) price tag crossed out on the listing.

Nevertheless, you’re getting a fitness band with a 1.47-inch OLED touchscreen, a side button, 5ATM water resistance, and up to 14 days of claimed battery life. HONOR also reckons a 10-minute charge is enough for three days of usage.

More wearable coverage: The best fitness trackers of 2021

In terms of the actual health and fitness features, you’re getting an SpO2 tracker, heart-rate monitor, sleep/stress tracking functionality, 10 “professional” workout modes, and automatic detection for six of these modes. Other notable features include customizable watch faces, the usual support for smartphone notifications, and music playback controls.

Our own Adam Sinicki had mixed opinions about the fitness tracker in his HONOR Band 6 review. Adam praised the price tag, battery life, and screen, but lamented the number of tracking-related bugs, the small number of sports modes, and the lack of GPS. Still, he suggested that this was worth getting if you want a cheap, basic tracker rather than a truly fitness-focused wearable.
