The Essential Phone has a different take on bezel-less design than the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and LG V30. The device features a notch on top that houses the camera, with the screen wrapping around it. Apple took things to a new level with the iPhone X, which features an even larger notch where in addition to the camera you’ll also find the speaker and a few other things.

Developer Damian Piwowarski decided it would be fun to bring the notch to other Android devices as well, so he created an app called Smartphone upgrader 2017. It’s extremely simple, as all it does is add a notch on top of your screen as well as rounded corners to make your smartphone look like the Essential Phone or the new iPhone. You also have the option of changing the size of the notch to make the whole thing look as pretty as possible. Check out what the end result looks like below.

Of course, the app isn’t the most useful thing in the world, and you might delete it after a few minutes. But it’s fun to try out and can be quite entertaining thanks to the remix of the song What’s Up by 4 Non Blondes that starts playing as soon as the transformation is complete.

If you want to try out the app, just head over to the Google Play Store via the button below and download it to your device. It’s free of charge, so there’s really nothing to lose.
