TL;DR
  • Halo, makers of the popular SleepSack, have launched a wearable baby sleep tracker.
  • Called SleepSure, the device provides customizable alerts and helps track a baby’s sleep at home or on the move.

Modern wearables almost always come with a sleep-tracking feature, but most of them are made for adults. That changes today with a new wearable baby monitor that promises to track your infant’s sleep in real-time.

While several traditional baby monitors also offer sleep tracking, the Halo SleepSure is a one-of-a-kind band that straps onto your 0-18 month baby’s foot to check things like heart rate, rollover, skin temperature, and movement.

The device promises customizable alerts and valuable sleep insights, including historical sleep data, to help parents adjust their baby’s sleep environment for optimal sleep.

There’s even an on-the-go mode that lets you track your baby’s sleep during car rides, stroller walks, when you’re running errands, and more outdoor adventures.

Now it all comes down to how comfortable you are strapping a wearable to your little one. While the Halo SleepSure has fabric straps with an adjustable velcro strapping mechanism, some folks may not be very open to the idea of a device stuck to their babies as they sleep.

Halo says that it tested the SleepSure extensively. “Nearly all of the parent testers asked reported that SleepSure helped them feel more confident in caring for their baby. And 90% felt the information SleepSure provides can help them make their babies’ sleep more comfortable too,” the company claims.
