Google Year in Search 2019: Who needs Rewind when you have this?

Google has also posted its top search results of 2019 in various categories, from athletes to TV shows.

It’s tough to argue that Google’s Year in Search videos don’t raise the bar for the company, especially compared to the polarizing YouTube Rewind clips. Now, Google has published the 2019 Year in Search video (seen above), while also detailing global search trends for the year.

The 2019 video focuses on heroes, covering Avengers: Endgame, real-world athletes, good Samaritans, first responders, and plenty more. Google also posted its top search results of 2019 in various categories, and you can check out all the winners below.

Personally, I’m a little disappointed that Google didn’t offer categories for consumer tech and memes like it did in 2017. Back then, the iPhone 8, iPhone X, and Nintendo Switch were the top three consumer tech searches. Meanwhile, the top meme-related search results back then were Cash Me Outside, United Airlines memes, and Elf on the Shelf.
