Henry Cavill’s next big role is game developer, and he’s doing it on a Googlebook

Google recently launched its new category of laptops known as Googlebooks. The initial wave is being manufactured by five brands: Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, and Lenovo. Although these Googlebooks have had a hot start, selling out just days after pre-orders started, Google appears to be looking to build on that momentum.

To help promote the new hardware, Google is reaching out to Hollywood. In a new blog post, the tech giant announced that it has partnered with actor Henry Cavill. According to the company, Cavill has had his hands on a Googlebook since before the announcement, and he’s using the laptop for his own personal passion projects.

In a quote, Cavill says:

When Google reached out to me and explained what they are doing with Googlebook, and all of its new, integrated tools, it had me intrigued. So, I asked for the opportunity to have a play with it ahead of release. After being hands on and spending some time with their team, I believe this has the potential to be the start of something rather special. Time and technology are marching forward at a breakneck pace, this, and all that Google are trying to do with it, has the whispers of the next generation.

It appears that this partnership will result in the creation of a new video game. Google says that this November, it will team up with Cavill to build this video game using a Googlebook. While Cavill is best known for portraying characters on screen, the actor is also well known for being an avid gamer. The former Witcher star has frequently talked at length about his love for RPGs. It’s unclear what type of game Cavill intends to make, but it will be interesting to see what he comes up with.
