You can now get a refurbished Pixel 9 Pro directly from Google and save up to $400

With Google recently releasing the Pixel 11 series, it’s officially time for some of its older phones to enter the company’s Certified Refurbished store. Following the Pixel 8 series in October last year, the Pixel 9 is now getting the same treatment.

A quick look at Google’s Certified Refurbished page shows all Pixel 9 variants listed, except the Pixel 9 Pro Fold (via 9to5Google). The entry-level Pixel 9 starts at $499, whereas the Pixel 9 Pro and the Pixel 9 Pro XL start at $649 and $699, respectively.

The Pixel 9 is currently out of stock, though that could change soon. Meanwhile, options for the Pro models are slim but not nonexistent. Right now, the Pixel 9 Pro is available only in Hazel, with 128GB of onboard storage.

Meanwhile, the Pixel 9 Pro XL is probably your best bet if you want more options, as it’s available in both Hazel and Obsidian. However, no 256GB variant is listed here, suggesting 128GB is the only option offered.

To sweeten the deal even further, Google is bundling six months of Google AI Pro (with 2TB of storage) with the refurbished Pixel 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 8 Pro. Google says you can redeem this offer through April 4, 2027. Unfortunately, the fine print says existing Google AI plan subscribers aren’t eligible for this promotion.

With the Pixel 9 series arriving at the Certified Refurbished store, the entire Pixel 8 lineup, including the budget-friendly Pixel 8a, has become even cheaper.

The standard Pixel 8 now starts at $389 and comes in multiple colors, with 128GB and 256GB storage options. Surprisingly, the Pixel 8 Pro is the only Pro model for sale and starts at $549, while the newer Pixel 8a starts at $339.

Given that the Pixel 11 series saw a $100 increase in launch-day pricing over its predecessor, these refurbished options could be more appealing to many.
