  • The official pages for the Pixel 6 series have gone live in eight countries.
  • This confirms that the phones will be available at least in all eight regions when they launch.
  • One of the largest smartphone markets in the world is currently missing from the list.

Google dropped a bombshell yesterday when it revealed a bunch of official details about the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Not only did we see how the phones will look, but Google also announced the name of its first custom SoC — the Google Tensor — and teased some of its exciting capabilities. Now, ahead of the fall launch of the Pixel 6 series, we have some idea about its global availability thanks to some digging done by folks over at XDA Developers.

Official landing pages for the new Pixel phones have already gone live in eight countries. This suggests that the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro would be available at least in all of these eight regions when they launch.

The list isn’t quite big and notably, India is missing from it. Seeing that the Pixel 4 and Pixel 5 also didn’t make it to the country, it’s not all that surprising that Google might skip India yet again for its new flagships. The company will likely stick to its more affordable Pixel a series phones in India.

Of course, nothing is set in stone for now. Google could have a much wider availability planned for the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. It could also be looking at different launch phases for different countries. We won’t know Google’s plans for sure until the company announces them officially. For now, at least folks in the aforementioned eight countries can get excited knowing that Google’s first set of phones with its own chipset are landing in their territory.
