Chances are good that you have a favorite Emoji. Maybe it’s the heart eyes Emoji or the drunk one (hey, no judgments here). The problem with having a favorite Emoji is that it can get stale after a while and isn’t too versatile for expressing a full range of emotions. Thankfully, the Gboard Emoji Kitchen is here to help with that.

Emoji Kitchen allows Gboard users to mash two Emoji together to add some new flair to your go-to or create a super-specific Emoji for a particular situation.

In the GIF example below, the user wants to send Meghan an Emoji response to her “Love you!” message. The user’s favorite Emoji is the one with geeky glasses so they mix that with the heart kiss Emoji to create a new hybrid:

We’re not quite sure why you would ever want to send someone a cactus monkey, but now you can.

The Gboard Emoji kitchen feature is rolling out now to Android users. Google is mum on if/when it will also roll out to iOS users. If you are on Android, you should see the new Emoji Kitchen in a few days. If you absolutely can’t wait, the beta should have it right now. You can sign up for Gboard beta by clicking here.
