Amazon slashes $300 off the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra in its first price drop
Sep 2, 2026 — 10:55 AM ET

Amazon just knocked $300 off the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, dropping it from its $2,099.99 RRP to $1,799.99. That is a 14% discount relative to the recommended retail price, and it is the first Amazon price drop we have seen for this recently launched foldable.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra sits above the standard Z Fold 8 as Samsung’s first Ultra foldable. It is a thinner, lighter book-style phone built for premium productivity, with a more traditional smartphone-like outer screen. Samsung gives it a larger 6.5-inch cover display and an 8-inch main folding display, along with a sharper inner-panel resolution than before.
Inside, it packs flagship-level hardware with a top-tier Snapdragon chip, and Samsung is putting a big focus on AI features for multitasking and on-device experiences. Battery details point to roughly a 5,000mAh cell, and faster wired charging than earlier Fold models is also part of the package. The camera setup centers on a 200MP main sensor, which helps set it apart from the regular Z Fold 8.
At $1,799.99 on Amazon, this first discount makes the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra a lot more tempting than it was at full price.
