More details surface about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A series of mid-range devices with metallic designs.

The Galaxy A series will comprise three devices tentatively named Galaxy A3, A5, and A7, of which the A5 and A7 will feature 720p displays, while the A3 will come with a 540 x 950 screen. The specs are mid-range by any standard, and include a Snapdragon 400 or 410 processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and 8MP cameras.

Rumor has it Galaxy A phones will be made of metal, though it’s not yet clear if it’s all metal, or only a metallic frame, similar to the Galaxy Alpha and Note 4.

Now Sam Mobile is further filling out the gaps with information on the pricing of the Galaxy A series, as well as its availability.

The Galaxy A3 (SM-A300) will cost between $350 and $400, the Galaxy A5 (SM-A500) will cost between $400 and $450, and the Galaxy A7 (SM-A700) will be somewhere in the $450-$500 range.

The three devices will feature LTE connectivity, continues the report, which also claims the A7 would see a limited release, in fewer countries than the other two in the series, possibly to prevent cannibalization of the Galaxy Alpha (which is about $600 unlocked in the US).

Would you be willing to spend $400 to $450 for the Galaxy A5?
