FindMyPhone.com is on sale for a whopping $5 million
If you’ve ever lost your smartphone or had it taken from you, you’ve probably tried numerous procedures to try and get it back. Maybe you’ve tried downloading a third-party application, or simply tried calling your device from another phone. If these methods haven’t helped you recover a lost or stolen phone in the past, perhaps you’ve done a quick Google search for “find my phone.” While there, have you ever visited FindMyPhone.com as a last-ditch effort?
Unfortunately there’s nothing on that website that could be of assistance at the moment. That’s because FindMyPhone.com is currently on sale for a whopping $5 million. Obviously this is a ton of money and it might not end up selling for that much, but that’s still a huge chunk of change to spend on a single domain.
Surprisingly, even if it does sell for the whole $5M, FindMyPhone.com wouldn’t come close to being the most expensive domain name of all time. According to Business Insider, the most expensive domain names in existence are mostly sex and money-related, with some selling for around $10M a piece. It would, however, be the most expensive technology-related domain ever, with Xiaomi’s Mi.com and Computer.com following close behind at $3.6M and $2.1M, respectively.
Like we said before, FindMyPhone.com might not be sold for that much, but it will likely go for a pretty good amount of money. What do you think the domain will end up selling for? $5 million, or much less than that?
