Fairphone sets date to finally unveil the Fairphone 6 Plus

If you’ve been waiting for the next device from the Dutch brand Fairphone, you won’t have to wait much longer. As previous leaks have revealed, the company is preparing to release a mid-gen refresh of the Fairphone 6. Now the phone maker has confirmed the launch date for the device.

On social media, Fairphone has released a teaser for the Fairphone 6 Plus. The post contains 11 seconds of video with the words “The Fairphone. Plus more.” Also included is the date August 18, 2026, which is when the company will finally make its announcement. You’ll be able to watch the announcement on Fairphone’s YouTube channel.

In a statement sent to Android Authority, CEO Raymond Van Eck had this to say:

Potentionally ruining the surprise, the folks at New Mobile have learned some details on the pricing. Based on the EAN number on a Danish online store, the device is listed for 5,121 Danish kroner, which is about €685. An earlier leak claimed that the Fairphone 6 Plus would cost €649. New Mobile notes that Denmark charges 25% VAT, while the Netherlands is at 21%. So the phone could cost somewhere between €650 and €690.
