The Fairbuds 2 finally have a price and launch date

Fairphone, the Dutch electronics manufacturer best known for its repairable devices, will be launching new earbuds later this year. Through a leak from a couple of weeks ago, we got a little taste of what’s coming our way. Now, the company has revealed new details about the Fairbuds 2.

Speaking to The Verge, Fairphone has revealed when it will launch the Fairbuds sequel. According to the report, the full reveal is scheduled for October 14, 2026. It will first launch in Europe, but a release in the US will follow shortly after.

If there were any concerns about a loss in repairability, Fairphone has assuaged those worries. The company confirmed that the earbuds will have seven replaceable and modular parts, similar to the original pair.

Along with that, the Fairphone will also expand the Bluetooth capabilities on the Fairbuds 2. The second-generation earbuds are said to add support for Sony’s high-resolution and adaptive LDAC codec. For comparison, the previous model only supported SBC and AAC codecs.

When the Fairbuds 2 launches, it will be available for €119 in Europe. It will also sell for $119 in the US. The first-generation model currently sells in the US for $99.
