Facer wants to end your endless search for the perfect Wear OS watch face with its redesign

Facer, one of the largest sources for downloading and installing watch faces for Wear OS and Apple Watch, is getting an overhaul. After announcing support for Google’s Watch Face Format and Wear OS 6 last year, and then extending support to RTOS watches, Facer is getting a redesigned storefront with a more colorful look and a curated, engaging feed for your particular smartwatch.

According to Facer, the updated interface makes it much easier to access popular watch faces and find the ones that suit you best. It adds new tabs at the top to access faces curated for you, those made through official brand partnerships, and those separated by activity or sport. Another section is dedicated to watch faces created by independent designers, grouped under “Facer Originals.” However, to qualify, creators must apply to a specific program and refrain from making their designs available through other sources, such as the Play Store.

The redesigned interface also adds a dedicated Entertainment page with options for popular franchises such as Pac-Man, Fallout, Star Wars, Tetris, and more. Along with that, Facer will add new dials to its existing collection inspired by popular watchmakers. While it already offers a slew of options from brands such as Formex, Thomas Earnshaw, Tockr, and several others, Facer will soon add the more household brand Timex, with a range of faces resembling icons such as Marlin, Expedition, and T80.

In addition, it has announced new partnerships with Angry Birds and Sonic, and will bring watch faces from these IPs soon. It has set fall as the season to release watch faces from Timex and these mentioned properties, but that’s as specific as it gets.

The latest Facer update is already rolling out, and you can get it via the Play Store for Android (and Wear OS devices) or the Apple App Store.
