Save 25% on Amazon’s premium Echo Dot Max smart speaker

Amazon’s newest Echo Dot Max is a more premium take on the Echo Dot, built for people who want stronger sound from a compact Alexa speaker. It already stands out as the best-sounding Dot Amazon has made for casual listening and voice assistant use, and right now there’s a solid deal on it at Amazon.

The Echo Dot Max sits above the standard Echo Dot in Amazon’s lineup, with a larger design that still keeps the rounded Echo look. That slightly bigger body makes room for upgraded audio hardware, including a two-way speaker system and much stronger bass than the 5th-gen Echo Dot. The goal is fuller sound in small to mid-size rooms, making it a better fit for music, podcasts, and everyday listening around the house.

Alexa is also a big part of the package. Amazon describes the speaker as built to take fuller advantage of its newer Alexa+ experience, with more natural voice interactions. That makes the Echo Dot Max a good pick for anyone who wants a compact smart speaker that does more than just answer basic questions.

As for the deal, Amazon has the Echo Dot Max down to $89.99, which is $30 off its $119.99 recommended retail price. That works out to a 25% discount relative to the RRP. This is not the lowest price we’ve seen this year, but it is still a nice chance to grab Amazon’s more powerful Dot for less than usual.
