SanDisk 256GB microSD

With a good number of smartphones offering microSD card support for additional storage needs, it makes sense to grab as large of a card as possible within your budget. If that budget happens to be around $100, though, do yourself a favor and grab SanDisk’s 256GB card while you still can.

The card carries Class 10 and UHS-1 speed classes, which allow for Full HD video recording and playback from the card. The card is not fast enough for 2K and 4K video recording however, which most mid-range to flagship smartphones feature.

SanDisk’s 256GB microSD card also carries an A1 rating, which lets it manage random read input-output access per second (IOPS) of 1,500 and write IOPS of 500. The read and write IOPS allow the card to open apps and process accompanying tasks quickly, a boon for those that save apps onto their microSD cards.

Other tidbits include transfer speeds up to 100MB per second, an included SD card adapter, and resistance against water, temperature, shock, and X-rays. You can also use the SanDisk Memory Zone app to manage what is stored on the card.
