While it hasn’t necessarily lived up to the initial hype, there’s still an awful lot to love about the Essential Phone (PH-1). Andy Rubin’s start-up promised a clutter-free, streamlined, and stylish Android flagship and that’s largely what it delivered.

Unfortunately, a lot of consumers were immediately put off the PH-1 by its daunting price-tag. $699 isn’t a huge amount to ask for a top-end phone in 2017, but it felt like a stretch for an industry newcomer. More recently, and in spite of a few PR blunders, Essential’s debut phone has enjoyed renewed interest thanks to a permanent $200 price drop.

At $499, the PH-1 is a flagship-killing bargain we’re used to seeing from the likes of OnePlus or Google’s Nexus phones from a few years back. Now though, in celebration of Cyber Monday, Amazon is going one better with a flash sale that almost seems too good to be true.

If you act fast, you can pick up the PH-1 and its 360-degree 4K camera accessory (usually $199) in a bundle for an incredible $399. That’s a whopping $279 saving in total.

For our full thoughts on Essential’s first crack at the mobile market, be sure to read our review. As a quick refresher, the PH-1 is a near-bezel-less stunner with a 5.7-inch, QHD resolution display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor, 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage space.

It also sports a 13 MP rear-facing camera, an 8 MP front-facing camera, and a 3,040 mAh battery. It also works with all major US carriers (CDMA and GSM-compatible) and runs stock Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box (Oreo is currently in beta).
