Poll: What's the current version of Android on your phone?
Android phones have traditionally had a poor reputation for software support up until a few years ago. It wasn’t uncommon for brands to release a phone and then fail to bring even a single OS update to the table. This has fortunately changed in the last few years, as companies intensify their focus on updates.
This got us wondering about which Android version our readers are running on their phones. So make your voice heard by voting in our poll below and leaving a comment if you’d like to elaborate (e.g. the phone model).
What's the current version of Android on your phone?
Samsung stepped up in a big way last year when it announced three years of OS updates and four years of security patches for a variety of phones. The company has also done a pretty good job in terms of releasing Android version updates in a timely manner. Google is another brand that’s generally delivered a lengthy update pledge and timely releases.
On the other end of the spectrum, we’ve got companies like Motorola and realme. These brands are usually tardy with their Android version updates and don’t offer lengthy update pledges (although this seems to be changing in realme’s case).
Either way, you can vote in the poll above to let us know which Android version you’re running on your phone. Not sure how to find the Android version on your handset? It can usually be found via settings > about phone.
