Is ChatGPT down for you? Here's what's going on

Having trouble trying to use ChatGPT this morning? You aren’t the only one running into problems. The company’s chatbot is currently experiencing an outage.
Users are reporting on Downdetector that OpenAI’s services are down. It appears that the reports started around 8:20 AM ET, but briefly dipped around 9:00 AM ET, and reports are spiking once again. We’re seeing reports come in across the country, including New York, Boston, Chicago, Denver, and Los Angeles.
Over on OpenAI’s status site, the company confirms that users are experiencing elevated error rates. It appears that the only service affected by the outage is ChatGPT. OpenAI says that it is currently working on a fix for the problem.
