In a world where more and more hardware companies are releasing tablet-laptop hybrid computers, Google thought it’d throw its hat into the ring with the Google Pixel Slate. Powered by Chrome OS, the Pixel Slate aims to offer a familiar Chromebook experience with the portability of a tablet — but at what price?

Google Pixel Slate price and availability

The Google Pixel Slate price depends on which specs you’d like under the hood. The cheapest Pixel Slate starts at $599, with the highest-end option going all the way up to $1,599. Oof. You can find all the pricing tiers below.

  • Intel Celeron processor, 8GB of RAM, 64GB of storage: $699
  • 8th Gen Intel Core m3 processor, 8GB of RAM, 64GB of storage: $799
  • 8th Gen Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage: $999
  • 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, 256GB of storage: $1,599

You can pre-order the Pixel Slate right now from any of the retailers listed below. Google says the device will officially become available in-store starting Wednesday, November 28. That’s when we can also expect devices to ship from online orders.
